Otto and Media Markt Lead the Way: The New Trend is Renting Instead of Buying

First, the major German mail-order company Otto launched its rental service for customers. This new business model allows Otto customers to rent many of its products for a set period instead of purchasing them outright. A similar approach is being taken by Media Markt Management AG, which operates the well-known Media Markt and Saturn stores.
